The Showroom

Our showroom is regarded by many, local and international, as one of the finest facilities of it's kind in the world. It features 8 sound-lounge/theatres, on-site service and on-site parking (under shop).

The Len Wallis Audio Team

Len Wallis Audio has been very fortunate in that we have been able to attract quality staff, most of who have then stayed with the company for many years. While it is impractical to list all staff members here, you will find short profiles on the majority of people you may come into contact with in our day to day business transactions.


Len Wallis

Managing Director

Originally a country boy, Len has spent his working life in audio, starting as a salesman for MS Sound in 1970. Len opened Len Wallis Audio in 1978 as a one man show, and is still involved in the daily running of the company. Len's love of music is the reason for his involvement in the industry in the first place, and this has not diminished with time. A supporter of the Variety Club, Len has covered most of Australia having completed 10 'Bash's' in his trusty Valiant. Also a keen traveler and walker.

Sue Wallis

Director / Human Resources

Sue holds a key leadership role at LWA, managing Human Resources and steering the strategic direction of employee services & programmes that enables a high- performance culture within the organisation.Sue’s background has been in Management within The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and is passionate and a keen advocate of driving a Customer first culture. Sue is a keen Hiker and regrettably a lapsed Tennis player

Tim Wallis

General Manager

Tim's responsible for all retail sales, showroom, purchasing and general operations. Tim has worked at Len Wallis Audio since 1998, he's moved through various departments and is passionate about 2 channel. Interests include motor sports and guitar.

Amy Chan

Financial Controller

Amy has been with Len Wallis Audio since 1996 working in the accounts department. She joined Ernst & Whinney in Hong Kong after her graduation in Canada. She is responsible for the daily financial recording & reporting. She enjoys travelling, reading and good food.

Alexis Caldwell

Custom Division Manager

Alexis joined LWA in March of 2015 bringing extensive sales & marketing experience from AV & IT industries both locally & abroad. Since 97' she’s been involved in all facets of the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Industry (CEDIA) channel in Australia. From installation, supply to the governing association, Alexis is an expert in lifestyle solutions for homes of any size. When not at work, she’s typically dressed as a frog, matching car #2013, Kermit & the Frogettes in the Variety Bash Charity.

Jason Sexton

Marketing Manager

Jason joined the company in July of 2014. He brings a wealth of experience in Marketing & Communications from the corporate environment working for companies such as Brambles, Telstra and Toys R Us. Jason’s responsibilities include all marketing, public relations and digital presence for LWA and associated companies. Jason describes himself as a crazy mountain biker, Foo Fighters tragic, try-hard surfer, technology enthusiast and lover of good design.

Aidan Ryan

Warehouse Manager

'AJ' joined the Len Wallis Audio team as Storeperson in 2008. Bringing to the shop a vast amount of experience in warehousing and logistics, AJ manages the incoming and outgoing stock requirements for Len Wallis Audio and soon hopes to complete his bachelors’ degree in logistics and supply chain management. In his spare time, AJ enjoys sound design and music composition, and is a ‘synth’ enthusiast.

Meena Khepar

Reception / Accounts

Meena joined Len Wallis Audio in 2003, and it was her first permanent job. She is working in Reception and Administration. She has completed her Bachelor’s degree in India. Her interests include Indian cooking, listening to Bollywood music and keeping fit at the Gym.

Charl Du Plessis


Charl has been with Len Wallis Audio since 1996, after commencing his career with the wholesale company Hi-Fi Specialists in South Africa in 1989. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and started part time with a retailer while at uni. In 2003 he started Plessis Audio, with product released in 2005 and the Model A valve amplifier winning the Sound & Image Best Amplifier award in 2006. Charl loves music, blues in particular, plays a Gibson Les Paul guitar and has also constructed a Warmoth Telecaster.

Juan Leon

Custom Sales

Juan enjoys drawing, reading and music, and in his teen years he played folklore music in a band. After studying Pharmacy (incomplete) and Topography, he decided on an excursion to sales of musical instruments, and since then he has never stopped working in the sales industry. He started with Len Wallis Audio in 1995 as a salesman and then moved to our custom sales division. One of his projects was awarded “Installation of the Year- 2009” by Sound & Image magazine.

Kiet Lequang


Originally from Vietnam, Kiet has always been involved in the audio industry, having worked for a number of companies since 1985. His love of high fidelity saw him join the Len Wallis Audio team in 1993. Interests include live concerts, traveling and keeping fit.

Dennis Nel


Dennis has been with LWA since 1989, has a love for stereo, a keen interest in room acoustics and speaker placement, and still regards the humble turntable as the superior source. Other knowledge includes, cartridges, phono stages and associated playback devices as well as racking and storage systems. Interests include marathon running, (completed the Comrades), now sidelined by cycling. In 2009 he competes in the Grafton to Inverell road race, the World Masters in October, then the Australian Nationals.

Chris McGowen

Custom Sales Consultant.

Well known in the Custom Installation industry having previously been CEO of Advanced Living which was one of Australia’s most respected automation companies, he brings 12 years of industry experience to LWA. Chris has served on the board of CEDIA for four years including two as president. He is a “Special Subject Matter Expert” (SSME) for CEDIA and sat on the Panel to develop the exam for the Design course. Chris has extensive experience in working with architects, builders or end-users on any project.

Alberto Vangi

Custom Sales

Albie studied Metallurgical Engineering at UNSW, but his interest in Audio Visual soon became apparent. He started at LWA in 1998 as a retail salesperson but quickly became involved with custom projects. His goal became turning homes into feature homes creating the 'Wow' factor with A/V product - working with architects, designers and builders to achieve the most functional and enjoyable systems possible. Interests - Skiing, Tennis, making the perfect cup of coffee and German cars.

Tony Breen

Project Manager

Tony Breen is one of the longest serving members on the Len Wallis Team. During his time with us, Tony has had a hand in most areas of the company, be it selling on the showroom floor, installing product, designing systems, and for the last few years Project Management. Tony enjoys travelling, trekking and climbing. His personal height best has been around the 7000m mark on a mountain called Spantik in Pakistan. He enjoys nature and has been fortunate to have observed some of the world's best wildlife.

Andrew Hardman

Project Manager

My Len Wallis Career started in the Spring of 2010. I had worked in the industry for another company straight out of high school, moved onto studying (PDHPE) at University, worked in the construction industry, spent some time working as a ski instructor in Canada. In my first year at the company, 2011, I was awarded “Custom Installer of the Year”. It was unexpected as I was only a Junior Installer. The following year, 2012, I was awarded “Employee of the Year”. Project management is a new opportunity.

Ysmael Panol


Ysmael studied Audio Engineering at JMC College in Sydney before working for Staging Connections and other audio production companies. He commenced work with LWA in 2009 as a junior tech and now working as a Programmer/IT/Maintenance specialist. He enjoys traveling, music, movies, food, sports and training in the art Muay Thai.

Shaun Peffer

Systems Design / Draftsman

Shaun joined the company in 2014 as a junior installer before fast tracking to Audio Visual System Designer / Drafter. His role at the company utilises his audio knowledge and prior skills in Auto-CAD and detail drafting. He has completed a BA of Music majoring in Audio Engineering at the Australian Institute of Music, he then went on to complete a Masters in Design Science majoring in Audio & Acoustics.

Mark Young

Senior Installer

Mark started working in the AV industry in 1998 at a hire and installation company. His talent for all things technical saw him move on to the Australian Stock Exchange working in the preventive maintenance operations group before traveling to UK in 2005 to work on high-end residential installations. Mark returned to Sydney in 2008 to commence work with LWA becoming an expert in the field. As an avid 4x4 enthusiast, Mark enjoys getting out of the city and exploring countryside.

Rob Handley

Senior Installer

Rob joined LWA in 1994 after eight years service in the Navy and travelling the world. With an electrical trade background the transition was easy and a respect for audio grew from there. Initially working with the custom installation side of the shop Rob has also worked on the floor for several years as a salesperson but has returned as a senior installation technician. Outside of work he his other interests includes Martial Arts (especially Karate as a practicing karatea), golf and motorsport.
