Our showroom is regarded by many, local and international, as one of the finest facilities of it's kind in the world. It features 8 sound-lounge/theatres, on-site service and on-site parking (under shop).


Over the decades the Audio Visual industry, in all its variations, has become more complex. There are now many variations on the way that you access and enjoy your music and video. Throw the various sub-systems such as security, lighting control etc into the mix, and almost every project we undertake is unique to the particular customer’s wants and needs.

 At Len Wallis Audio we spend a considerable amount of time (and money) researching and learning. It is always reassuring when we receive positive feedback from our clientele acknowledging the effort and expertise of those who have been involved in designing, installing, and in many cases, programming their system.

Panasonic Television

To let you know how pleased I am with the sale and installation of my new Panasonic television.  Thank you particularly to Dennis for his advice and follow up as well as thanks to Alex and Warren for the installation yesterday.  The whole process has been seamless and very professional.   The installation was carried out with little fuss or upset to my household and Alex and Warren did everything to the highest standard; I am very grateful and would appreciate them knowing again how impressed I was with their technical expertise, their personable manner and the thoroughness with which they dismantled my old TV set up and installed the new.


2 Channel Stereo

Dear Juan,
Rob (your installer) came by this afternoon, installed the subwoofer, and checked over things. So I thought I’d just send you a quick note to say how delighted with the outcome. We’ve been playing some music and my old Luxman LV-105 works very well with the Axis Voicebox 2s and Sunfire 8. So thank you again for your help with this, and you, Rob and John have all been great to deal with. No doubt I’ll be back to Len Wallis in the future to replace/upgrade some components, to continue a relationship that started in 1986!

Home entertainment / networking

Hi Len

Just wanted to pass on how impressed we have been with the wonderful team of people you have working for you.

Earlier this year, your business installed a home entertainment and network system at our house. Your people were excellent, advising us from the start as to the appropriate kit, managing a delayed installation and finally installing the system in April 2014.

Juan was our initial point of contact who advised us on the system from when we first made contact with LWA in the 2nd half of 2013. Once the system had been decided upon he introduced us to Tony who visited the site numerous times and managed our delays with ease (initially booked for install in Dec 2013 but eventually installed Apr 2014) and then oversaw the installation.

The install was completed by Ysmael, Mark and Gerard (and maybe another?), all of whom were very efficient and very courteous.

More recently, we had a slight hick up with the system following a Telstra internet outage. Again, Tony went out of his way to get people to our house to resolve the issue quickly, notwithstanding the busy Xmas period. Ysmael tried to accommodate us but timing our end did not work and Gerard came out this week and fixed the problem swiftly and professionally.

Wireless Solution

Dear Kiet, 

I am writing to thank you for the time you spent with me last Saturday morning to solve a problem I was having with my stereo. The issue I was having was that I wanted to use Spotify through my existing, and quite old, stereo system.

You made the solution simple and cost effective simply because you took the time to understand my needs before coming up with a solution. This was important as I had been to two Hi Fi stores previously and their solutions were complex and expensive. I had my doubts about the proposals so I decided to persevere and this was how I ended up at Len Wallis audio at Lane Cove. Quite simply, the difference between you and others was that they did not take the time to understand the problem.

I can happily report that it took me about 15 minutes to set up (as you told me it would) and the system is now doing what I wanted it to do.

Audio/Visual System


 I neglected to email and thank you for your prompt and efficient service. Your attention in the shop and the advice that was given was first rate and addressed our needs.

 The installation team were extremely helpful and patient while I collected computers etc. We are delighted with the TV and especially the Sonos audio system. I am working to overcome my difficulties with download time on movies and itune store.  These are of my own lack of knowledge. 

In a long slow completion phase of our apartment LW Audio is a beacon of efficiency.

Crazy few days as you can imagine ;) but all good fun !

Importantly, we wanted to drop a note saying a MASSIVE thank you for all your help and congratulate you all on a sensational job!  You and all the team have really come up with a fantastic result .. worked on all the details including the little (and really important) things and making sure everything is absolutely right.  The system, products and service have been and are just superb !  We really appreciate it, and a big thank you to everyone.

Am traveling the next few days but the family are all up to speed, and as mentioned we'll use the system for a little bit and then discuss if there are any little things to iron out.

2-Channel Hi-Fi

Dear Len,I wish to put into writing my recent purchasing experience at Len Wallis Audio.

I attended your store on Tuesday 7 February and was introduced to Kiet who carefully listened to my proposed hifi stereo upgrade requirements. I explained that I had done a bit of research on the internet and I now needed to get some expert advice and demo some options. I explained that I had a budget of $4,000.

Kiet directed me into one of your listening rooms where he spent over an hour with me auditioning various components within my budget. It has to be said that I was extremely impressed with Kiet’s, expertise and knowledge, and surprised at the level of enthusiasm and assistance he provided me in pointing out the various nuances in the differences of sound quality I was listening to. Even when I started to get a bit ambitious about suggesting I audition more expensive equipment which was well and truly over my budget, Kiet kept me focused on models within my budget. I finally settled on a package of components that met my requirements and hopefully was within my budget. Kiet left me so he could do some work on a quote. Upon his return he advised that the retail pricing had gone over my budget, but to my surprise he announced that he could do the deal for an amount that was spot on my budget.

Whilst we did look into turntables it became apparent that my wish for a turntable was not to come true, at this stage at least!. I thanked Kiet for his assistance and on a handshake advised that I will make the purchase and would give him a call when I had my finances sorted.

I phoned Kiet the following Tuesday and made arrangements to come into the store on the next Thursday. I also advised Kiet that I thought I need to do some further auditioning, to confirm my intended purchase. Once again Kiet spent another hour with me in the demo room which was immeasurably helpful in making my final decision. I also explained that my wife had insisted we purchase a turntable within a budget of an additional approximate $1,200. 

Kiet’s attention turned to that task and once again his expertise and knowledge was extremely helpful in assisting me make a decision on a turntable, cartridge and phono pre-amplifier. Kiet left to do some calculations to get me the best price on the total package.

The final price which Kiet came back to me with was a sensational deal, again spot on my budget and which I doubt could have been matched anywhere else. Kiet suggested I give him half and hour to get my purchase ready and even offered to set the turntable up for me. When I returned, Kiet was carefully and painstakingly in the process of setting up the turntable with the greatest of attention to detail to make sure it was 100% accurate.

I have had my set up going for 2 weeks now and I am completely satisfied with the result. The amplifier is running in nicely and is making very distinct improvements to the sound quality, just as Kiet advised it would. I am so pleased that I spent the extra dollars to purchase the turntable, what an experience listening to my old vinyl LP’s!! the sound is simply amazing, it’s a brilliant setup.

Len, I will conclude now, by saying that my purchasing experience at Len Wallis Audio could be described in many ways and words but put simply, I am completely satisfied with my purchasing experience. Kiet’s expertise, knowledge, assistance, patience, attention to detail and counsel was invaluable and this is a credit to Kiet and your business. I do look forward to my next hifi upgrade or addition at Len Wallis Audio.

Home Theatre

I've been a regular customer of Len Wallis over the  years and have always been impressed with their professionalism and the quality of their products, so when I decided that Home Theatre had matured enough for me to take the plunge, there was no question who to turn to.
My only worry was that living out of Sydney I wouldn't be able to avail myself of their services.
That appeared to be no problem, so a date was set, and the Installation Team appeared at the appointed time at the door. 
Over a two-day period the installers - Craig and Ishmael set up the entire system.  Over the two days they worked continually, and, after consultation, solved the unforeseen problems quickly and satisfactorily.  They took away all the packaging and made sure that they left the room neat and tidy.  They worked so quietly that my wife and I sometimes thought they had gone! 

Once the system was installed, Craig and Ishmael calibrated and checked the system to my satisfaction.  The system looks beautiful and sounds fantastic. 

I want to thank Tony Breen for organizing everything and keeping us informed,  Dennis Nel for advising which components to get, and once again Craig and Ishmael for their outstanding work.

Overall, we are very happy with the results and can highly recommend the services of Len Wallis to anyone thinking of setting up a home theatre system.

Marantz CD Player

Thank you for being one of the last persons in Sydney that is pleasant to do business with.
I thought you’d like to know that I hooked the CD player up later on the hot day I collected it.
First up was virtuoso Sydney pianist Kathryn Selby playing with the Prague Symphony Orchestra and doing Gershwin’s An American In Paris: the result was not much difference. The piano was a little better but the strings squawked. Hmmm!! Maybe it’s been badly recorded, which is suggested by the fact that the piano sounds close but the winds and strings sound distant. Maybe it’s just a cheap recording! (Note: I’ve heard Kathy Selby live several times. She is one of the best pianists in the world and I don’t think the CD she recorded in Prague, does her any justice at all. It sounds like the prime microphone was placed inside the conductor’s pocket – the one with the handkerchief.)
 OK, so I then found one of my jazz favorites where I know every note; Charlie Byrd, Barney Kessel and Herb Ellis jamming. I started it up, sat down with a diluted Scotch and then IT happened.
Holy Smoke I shouted, then called my wife. She uttered an unmentionable that meant the same thing. We heard sounds we’d never heard before and instruments that I’d never known were present on those tracks. After I calmed down and got another Scotch, I thought “…hold on old Tony, don’t go wild yet. You’ve been wrong more times than you’ve been right.”
So, I rustled around and found one of my 20 plus 20 year old CDs of Stephane Grapelli and Django Reinhardt with Hot Club de France. After three or four bars, I uttered a word that rhymes with ‘duck’ and agreed with my wife that we’d never heard this music like this before. I’d never heard Django sliding and scratching the frets before.
The result is that the Marantz is a winner, big time. At this point I warily loaded my ultimate music, being Glenn Gould playing (and humming unfortunately) Bach’s Goldberg Variations and the rendering was superb.
The results except those from poorly recorded originals have been better than I expected.
If you’re like me, the happy customers always compensate for some of the arrogant posturing bastards of this world, with whom we need to deal.

Adventures at Len Wallis Audio’

My name is Justin Wilson and I reside in the little hamlet of Glossodia. I have been a purchasing customer of your fine establishment 1999, 2001, 2003 and 2004. I have a very fine sound system which is representative of your quality merchandising, Audio Physic, Nakamichi, Meridian, Marantz (second-hand CD unit) an ‘English’ turntable, Dynavector cartridge and a device for boosting the cartridge voltage all care of Wim, and his high level competency in technical matters, and not least his music listening sensibility.

Not long after Wim and Rob came to our house to set up the above system I sent off to you a little ‘thank you’ note for, in my opinion their devotion and enthusiasm towards myself, my wife Janye and to the ‘job in hand’. (1999)

But you know, it was only yesterday, April 29, 2011, that, once again I felt the hand of ‘beyond the call of duty’.

Here we were, Len, Wim, Ross Messina, and myself, in your listening room. Between the test speakers my old XL600 Hafler sits on a ‘quick’ pedestal stand.

Prior to this day, over a period of months Wim, Ross and their compatriot technicians laboured long and vigorous on repairing some ‘old age’ circuit breakdowns with my Hafler. I have expounded my gratitude to Wim for the perseverance of ‘making good’ these repairs.

To the strains of Maddy Pryor singing eighteenth century ‘Gallery Hymns’ Wim, Ross and myself had a convivial chat that Friday.

So, Len, once again it’s the human factor is it not?...a perfect complement to your ‘quality listening’ products that you sell – customer satisfaction is the parlance of the trade.

Later: It’s Saturday morning here at Glossy, it’s a sodden skyscape outside, and I’m enjoying some critical listening with the ‘sweet’ sound of the stereo/sound system. I’d better go and let the chooks out...but…I’ll be back and listen to some sea shanties…

Home Theatre and Hi-Fi

Hi Juan,

The system is just great. We are using the room everyday and we are especially looking forward to using it to watch the World Cup football. I will get around to having a photo taken and sent to you. Everything looks and sounds great.

Incidentally, the P3-24 that I purchased from you is a seriously great turntable – I am almost at a loss as to why somebody would want to buy something more than this. It is better to buy a top cartridge and good records than the extra for a P7 or greater.

Thank you so much for your help with this project. I have been recommending your services to friends and colleagues who have been tinkering with the idea of doing a similar thing – they really do not understand what they are missing out on until they get one installed into their homes. When a reasonable and affordable 3D system becomes available, let me know.

I just want to say what a fantastic job Craig and Mark did yesterday. They achieved a great deal within the days work.


They were able to run the cable through cupboards, under floors, through cornices and ceilings from one end of the unit to the other so that all the cable work is exactly where we want it and none of it is exposed.


I had also had inadvertently left a few thousand dollars of cash from a recent cruise in a cupboard which Craig handed over to me as well.  Nice to know that I can trust your people in my home.

Just a brief note to congratulate you on some exceptional customer service I received recently. I rarely do this but I was so satisfied with the service that it needed to brought to your attention.

I was having trouble with my system before Xmas and arranged a service call for 8am Monday 4/1/10.

On the dot your service technician, Alex arrived and not only fixed my problem but sorted out a few other concerns I had with the system in a very helpful and professional manner.

 Just a short note to say a huge thank you for all your help to us in buying the Sib & Co speaker package last week. 

I can see why you have won awards. 

We really appreciate the time you spent with us, and although this was only really an entry level speaker package in terms of what Focal produce, and all of the other products you have there, you gave your time unsparingly.

The speakers sound exactly as they sounded in store ... we were blown away by them then, and we've been blown away by them ever since.


Custom Installation

We have just had your company install an extensive system throughout our home and I thought I would send you a quick email to provide some feedback. We have found the whole process very pleasant and have been impressed with the level of professionalism shown by your representatives. Our project was initially overseen by Juan, who was extremely patient in the design process. There were many changes over this period and I always felt that Juan was driven to provide me with the best solution within budget, rather than sell more product. This was a learning process for me and Juan never made me feel like my questions were stupid or wasting his time.
When Juan left for his trip to Europe, Michael slotted in to oversee the installation. This was done so seamlessly that it was hard to believe Michael hadn’t been involved for the whole process. Michael has been fantastic in responding to the small teething issues that inevitable occur after installation. He has also gone out of his way to accommodate any requests that we have made.
Craig and Mikhail were extremely professional in their conduct during installation. I was impressed with the care that they took not to damage anything in our new home. They were very courteous to my wife and son and I felt comfortable having them working in the home without us there. Both of them responded to any additional requests that we made, without making us feel that we were being difficult. Having spent several days with them during the installation, I believe they do a great service to the reputation of the company.
After dealing with approximately 35 different companies during the final stages of construction of our home, Len Wallis was clearly our best experience in terms of service and professionalism. I would be happy to recommend your company to anyone in the future.



Recently the service department went to considerable trouble to repair my Holfi CD player, including sourcing a manual from New Zealand (it's a Danish brand). It didn't cost much and was even cheaper when I consider the great pleasure I'm have in it listening to it again. It's actually performing better than when it was new.

I wanted to take this opportunity to compliment your team on a recent installation of Bose equipment at our house. The whole team was very professional, thoughtful and knowledgeable which made the experience a real pleasure. This experience was from the first pre-installation inspection with Tony through to the actual install with Martyn & Tarrick (apologies if I’ve misspelt his name) to the post-installation follow-up check everything was okay.


TV Installation

Firstly, thanks for all your advice re the system along the way - it sounds (and looks) terrific. Thanks also for the upgrade to the Sony XBR TV. I'd also like to add a *particular* word of thanks to Martyn North and the guys who did the installation. My wife was very concerned about how the cable ducting would look on the outside of our back "sun room", but Martyn and the guys did a fabulous job, selecting appropriately coloured square ducting that matched the frame of our room, and routing it very inconspicuously. We were very impressed with their handiwork....


Multi-room system.

Just to let you know Josh has just left here and done a great job as did the entire team. Whilst I need to get used to everything (especially TiVo which seems a bit strange so far) which will take some time, I am so far a very strong reference for LW.
Thanks guys and I am looking forward to a weekend of playing with my new toys; I hope it rains all weekend! I am sure my friends will become LW clients over time.

After sales service

Probably the best part of the service though, has been the after care.

With 4 young boys 7 and under, when the telly goes down, the house descends into chaos. Albi, Andre, Rob and all of the guys who have visited our house on many occasions have always been so very helpful (and as my mum always comments, so well mannered!). On many occasions they go out of there way to help, even though there is no big sale coming....not for a while anyway!

Being in the service industry myself, I would like to congratulate you on your staff, who are a tribute to the "Len Wallis Audio" brand, and who set you apart from your competitors. I have referred you a number of times now and know my friends received the same excellent service.
