Firstly in the forty years I have been in this industry I have heard many high-end high quality speakers and the first observation is that just because a loudspeaker is expensive (or big) does not mean that it is going to sound good. The Grand Utopia EM is simply the finest speaker that I have ever heard, by a considerable margin.

Everyone involved in the audio industry is aware of the importance of component matching in a system. A combination of very fine individual components does not guarantee a satisfactory result. However if the components ‘gel’ it can sound marvelous, and not necessarily be expensive.

Networking, automation, remote security access, music and video streaming and content shifting are all high priorities for many people, and the greater the value of the property, the higher the priority. While the promise of wireless technology leaves many to hope that this can be achieved without a cabled backbone, the demands made by increasingly larger files that need to be shifted make this technology unreliable.
