The most glamorous speakers we’ve seen in a long time have been put on show this week. What we were not prepared for was the improvements in performance over the regular 805Diamond. To the best of my knowledge the new Maserati version uses exactly the same components as the existing speaker, same drivers and crossover – the only difference being the finish. However the changes in the cabinet construction, and the stands, have obviously done much more than simply ‘pretty – up’ the speaker.
