Len Wallis Audio has been a supporter of the Variety Club of Australia for many years. Variety does marvelous work raising funds for and supporting the underprivileged children of Australia.

Variety is unlike most charities, which tend to focus on a single problem or have a narrow focus. The issues confronting many of our young children can be varied and numerous, as is their needs. Variety provides essential equipment for individual children suffering one, or a multiple of, 74 different conditions. They provide vital organizational equipment for children’s intensive care units, emergency transport services, children’s health services and educational services plus 12 seat and 25 seat Sunshine Coaches, and wheelchair Liberty Swings for special needs schools and council parks. They also provide thousands of children with magical experiences through the variety@work program.

I have had the privilege of witnessing first hand some of the work that Variety does. The joy on the faces of these children is something that stays with you for a long time.

Many of our clients have unwanted and unused audio equipment gathering dust in their garage, under the stairs etc, mostly destined never to see the light of day again. If this is the case, and you feel like supporting variety you can donate this product through us. We will test it, clean it up and offer it for sale through our second hand department with 100% of the funds realised going to the Variety Club. This is a great opportunity for you to have an ‘Audio Spring Clean’ and to help raise money for a very good cause.

Rod Randall says...

What a wonderful idea, what a shame that you can really only accept donations from Sydney. I have a reasonable collection of old working amps, decks, recorders, speakers etc but the cost of sending them halfway across the country rather defeats the purpose. If the same idea catches on at a HiFi outlet in Perth I’ll gladly donate some components.

All the best, Rod

Congratulations on the scheme. I’m in Melbourne, too. Maybe through StereoNet we could organise a batch send.I’ll follow up over there.
