What is 4K Hexa Chroma Drive Pro?

Simply put, it's color, expanded in 4K. Due to the additional resolution of 4K, an expanded color pallet becomes an essential element in utillising this increased resolution to it's maximum. This is where Pansonic's expertise comes into it's own. The wider color coverage and professional processing technology with '6-color reproduction (up from the normal 3), has realised a new reference class 4K picture that satisfies even the fussiest content creators from Hollywood. If your loooking for industry standard excellence, you'll find it with Panasonic.

Studio Color HCX2 is so much more than just another acronym...

There is alot of abveriation nowdays with technology but there is a new one that you need to commit to memory. And that is HCX2. Why? It's the name of Panasonic's special Studio Color Processor for 4K screens that's been tuned by professional Hollywood Colorists. These are the professionals that color grade commerical films for cinema. They are color experts. This system controls the color outputs in the television and having this specially tweaked and tuned by Hollywood Professionals means when you playback content, you'll be seeing just as the filmakers intended.

Multi High Dynamic Range (HDR) support.

Enjoying playback with life-like High Dynamic Range highlights means you'll be seeing for the first time, images that are so much closer to the way that our eyes actually see the real world. That sounds impressive but what does that actually mean? It means a much high range of contrasts are available, for example deep blacks can combine with very bright highlights without artifact leakages to produce very close to life images that are distortion. The EX series supports multiple HDR fomats such as HDR10 on UHD Blu-ray discs and Hydrid Log Gamma developed by the BBC and Japan's NHK networks for a new generation of broadcast services. Future proofed you might say.

Local Dimming Ultra

Deep robust blacks combine with super high contrast but how have Panasonic done this? By placing a high performance LED backlight equiped with a high number of localised dimming zones directly behind the LCD panel, the screen is now capable of bringing out delicate details and high nuanced expressions which may have otherwise been lost. Dark scenes, with robust blacks also retain their original detail even within areas of high contrast.

Super Bright Panel

An incredible boost to brightness means that pictures now look crisper and more dynamic than ever before. Usually LED LCD televisions aren't expecially bright when adjusted to look their best. This is because of the types of lighting control they use compromises picture brightness to ensure decent contrast. It's a trade off between the two. Panasoni's Super Bright Panel technology changes all of this with a combination of new panel-driving system and a panel structure that allows more light through and a new highly efficent backlighting system.
